Misty De Meo 9b3a2fcfa0 python3: fix caveats when python3 not installed 
eec96a68d8 updated the caveats to look at the actual contents of the
prefix, but this doesn't work if either

a) python3 is not installed, or
b) an outdated version is installed

The result was that some users were getting exceptions raised on any
operations that evaluated #caveats.

Closes #8577.

Homebrew Core

Core formulae for the Homebrew package manager.

Update Bug

If Homebrew was updated on Aug 10-11th 2016 and brew update always says Already up-to-date. you need to run:

cd "$(brew --repo)" && git fetch && git reset --hard origin/master && brew update

How do I install these formulae?

Just brew install <formula>. This is the default tap for Homebrew and is installed by default.

Troubleshooting

First, please run brew update (twice) and brew doctor.

Second, read the Troubleshooting Checklist.
