a2371fa933 Trivial bounds checking.
Bounds checking strpy, strcat and sprintf.
These are the remaining easy ones to cover a recently removed commit.
Some are trivial, some have been modified and a couple left as they are because the reverted change didn't bounds check properly.

3e9e810f2e Remove outdated legacy crypto options
Many options for supporting optimizations for legacy crypto on legacy
platforms have been removed. This simplifies the source code and
does not really penalize anyone.
        DES_PTR (always on)
        DES_RISC1, DES_RISC2 (always off)
        DES_INT (always 'unsigned int')
        DES_UNROLL (always on)
        BF_PTR (always on) BF_PTR2 (removed)
        MD2_CHAR, MD2_LONG (always 'unsigned char')
        IDEA_SHORT, IDEA_LONG (always 'unsigned int')
        RC2_SHORT, RC2_LONG (always 'unsigned int')
RC4_LONG (only int and char (for assembler) are supported)
        RC4_CHUNK (always long), RC_CHUNK_LL (removed)
        RC4_INDEX (always on)
And also make D_ENCRYPT macro more clear (@appro)

This is done in consultation with Andy.

349807608f Remove /* foo.c */ comments
This was done by the following
        find . -name '*.[ch]' | /tmp/pl
where /tmp/pl is the following three-line script:
        print unless $. == 1 && m@/\* .*\.[ch] \*/@;
close ARGV if eof; # Close file to reset $.

And then some hand-editing of other files.

c2e4f17c1a Due to an increasing number of clashes between modern OpenSSL and
libdes (which is still used out there) or other des implementations,
the OpenSSL DES functions are renamed to begin with DES_ instead of
des_. Compatibility routines are provided and declared by including
openssl/des_old.h. Those declarations are the same as were in des.h
when the OpenSSL project started, which is exactly how libdes looked
at that time, and hopefully still looks today.

The compatibility functions will be removed in some future release, at
the latest in version 1.0.

3ba5d1cf2e Make EVPs allocate context memory, thus making them extensible. Rationalise
DES's keyschedules.

I know these two should be separate, and I'll back out the DES changes if they
are deemed to be an error.

Note that there is a memory leak lurking in SSL somewhere in this version.

080b8cadfa Since there has been reports of clashes between OpenSSL's
des_encrypt() and des_encrypt() defined on some systems (Solaris and
Unixware and maybe others), we rename des_encrypt() to des_encrypt1().
This should have very little impact on external software unless
someone has written a mode of DES, since that's all des_encrypt() is
meant for.

edf0bfb52b Change type of various DES function arguments from des_cblock
(meaning pointer to char) to des_cblock * (meaning pointer to
array with 8 char elements), which allows the compiler to
do more typechecking. (The changed argument types were of type
des_cblock * back in SSLeay, and a lot of ugly casts were
used then to turn them into pointers to elements; but it can be
done without those casts.)

Introduce new type const_des_cblock -- before, the pointers rather
than the elements pointed to were declared const, and for
some reason gcc did not complain about this (but some other
compilers did).

9cb0969f65 Fix version stuff:
1. The already released version was 0.9.1c and not 0.9.1b

2. The next release should be 0.9.2 and not 0.9.1d, because
first the changes are already too large, second we should avoid any more
0.9.1x confusions and third, the Apache version semantics of
VERSION.REVISION.PATCHLEVEL for the version string is reasonable (and here
.2 is already just a patchlevel and not major change).
